As a celebrated and long-standing custom knifemaker, Centofante has served as the past President of the Knifemaker's Guild, making him a revered and influential figure in the cutlery world. The Centofante 3 features a thin-profiled, lightweight FRN (Fiberglass Reinforced Nylon) handle. Two channels have been furrowed into the handle for improved grip, and a Palladium silver Spyderco bug is inlaid into the surface. For added security and convenience, the back-lock mechanism is positioned midway on the spine, and the David Boye Dent is cut into the locking lever.

To ensure discreet carry, the Centofante 3 is equipped with a black steel pocket clip that can be positioned for tip-up or tip-down, right-hand carry. The VG-10 blade features both a hollow-grind and a swedge-grind, with non-sharpened spine serrations (jimping) to help hold the user's thumb steady during cutting tasks.
